Abdul is one of the founding members of Idara Theatre in Sierra Leone, he directed and acted numerous plays some of which incude-Ooman Na Poison (Woman is Poison) Dilemma of a Housewife, Property Wahala (Court Scenes Only), just to name a few. Abdul was the Director of the Technical Committee of the Sierra Leone Theatre Council 1985 – 1990, during which time he was also very active in promoting drama in Sierra Leone.

His love for entertainment led him to perform in a play produced by the American Embassy in Sierra Leone and directed by a John Thorpe from Broadway, New York City, in the late 80’s (Return to Glutten). In giving back to society Abdul worked with WHO (World Health Organization) in several workshops in Freetown, to promote AIDS awareness and prevention, through theatrical short plays. Abdul can't stay away from the stage, with a heart of entertaining he once more lends his unique skills in acting and producing to Sierra Theatre Productions.
