 David Buakei Vandy was born in Sierra Leone, he has acted, produced and directed multiple plays in Sierra Leone and is a founding member of one of the leading Theatre groups in Sierra Leone; Kailondo Theatre. David also produced and directed plays at the African Studies Department Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
He worked as Radio Broadcaster for several radio stations in Sierra Leone including the United Nations Mission Radio and the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service Radio/Television were he created, produced and directed the first comedy television soap opera ‘Dee Vee Productions’ now ‘Wan Pot’. He is currently an International Broadcaster producing and hosting the popular music show ‘African Beat’ at the Voice of America in Washington DC. He is also a well known Master of Ceremony (MC).
